Glacier Park - Day 1

Written politely 2018-06-15.

After a relaxing morning where Jill took some time to sleep in and the kids had some time to play and get some energy out. We ate an early lunch and set out to take a hike in Glacier.

It certainly is a beautiful place.

We wanted to go to John’s Lake loop next, but the parking was full, so we went to walk on the Trail of the Ceders. It was so grateful to be there.

The smell was like a Christmas tree, the fauna was exceptional, the weather was the perfect amount of cool, and everything was perfect. It felt right in all of my humanness to be there. It was cleansing to the soul and felt so right. I was thinking how incredible it would be, and how productive I would be to work in such a place. My state of mind was clear and inspired.

The walk was really nice, and we decided to take the route up to Avalanche Lake. There was a quickly flowing river/stream that was raging at the beginning of the trail up to the lake.

We didn’t make it all the way up, unfortunately, but we made it about halfway before turning around and coming back to the car.

We stopped on the way back to the house at Agpar Village and did a little bit of shopping. I got a new hat, Jill got a bracelet and a t-shirt and A got a hoodie.

We went to have some Ice Cream at Eddies. While we ate the ice cream, there was so much cottonwood tree pollen that it looked like it was snowing.

We went back to our cabin and Jill made dinner while I got a fire ready to roast s’mores. After dinner I lit the fire and it started up quickly because the wood was so dry. The kids each had some s’mores and I put the fire out while Jill got the kids ready for bed.

It was a productive day and I remember going to bed feeling very accomplished.
